Detroit Historical Society
The Detroit Historical Society leaders founded the Detroit Historical Museum in 1928 and are the day-to-day managers of both that museum and the Dossin Great Lakes Museum and the more than 250,000 artifacts held in these collections.
PROJECT AWARDED
Detroit 67 Project: This Foundation grant supports an exhibit and community engagements commemorating the civil unrest of 1967 in Detroit. The exhibition is set to open in June 2017, with a series of events scheduled between July 23 and August 1, 1967.
