Detroit Public Television
Detroit Public Television’s Early Education Ecosystem engages adults in children’s lives to create positive impact. According to the proposal, “the goal of all of DPTV’s community-based work is to equip the adults with ideas to support early learning, healthy brain development, kindergarten readiness, and third grade reading proficiency.” To accomplish this, DPTV executes a number of workshops, trainings and special events aimed to support both adults and children. DPTV, through its free, 24/7 children’s television channel, has unprecedented access into the homes of families across our region. The organization believes this reach will be a crucial part of their success engaging informal childcare providers.
