HaGal Sheli

HaGal Sheli works with at-risk youth through a multi-year educational program that builds the confidence and self-esteem needed to overcome life’s challenges, using the sport of wave surfing as a metaphor. HaGal Sheli partners with dozens of organizations across Israel, including educational institutions, youth villages and social services programs to recruit youth who are most at risk of falling behind in school or engaging in risky life behaviors. Using surfing as a metaphor, HaGal Sheli teaches youth to adapt to changing environments and that hard work and perseverance do pay off.
