Hillel of Metropolitan Detroit

Hillel of Metro Detroit (HMD) provides Jewish programming for students and young adults ages 18-29, specifically serving students at Wayne State University and five other college campuses. HMD provides a myriad of programs and opportunities to engage diverse Jewish students and enhance Jewish life on campus.

Funding from this grant supports the Israel Fellowship Program at The Hillels of Michigan, allowing Hillel of Metro Detroit as well as the Hillels at the University of Michigan and Michigan State University to participate in a collaboration between Hillel International and the Jewish Agency for Israel (JAFI) that places charismatic Israeli young professionals on college campuses throughout North America. Working hand in hand with Hillel professionals and student leaders, the Israel Fellows provide a “friendly face” of Israel to engage students through relationship building, tailored programming, and immersive experiences aimed at building long lasting relationships with Israel.
