The National Center for Families Learning (NCFL) advances literacy and education by developing, implementing, and documenting innovative and promising intergenerational strategies. The heart of NCFL’s work lies in its dedication to working with community partners to develop model programs and innovative laboratories that advance family literacy.

PROJECT AWARDED

Say & Play With Words: This grant provides funding for a two-year multi-language initiative also supported by PNC and the Skillman Foundation. NCFL reaches hundreds of young children in Detroit through direct intervention (family service learning) and thousands of parents and children through additional outreach.
