Marjorie M. Fisher

Marjorie M. Fisher is an author of books and articles on Egypt and an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Egyptology in the Department of Middle East Studies at the University of Michigan.

She is a Member of the National Council of the Humanities, the Advisory Board to the National Endowment for the Humanities, Washington D.C.; a Member of the James Madison Council, Library of Congress, Washington, D.C.; a Member of the University of Michigan’s President’s Advisory Council; Co-Founder/Co-Chair of Friends of Middle East Studies in the Department of Middle East Studies; an Advisory Council Member for the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Egyptian Department, New York; and a Life Member of the Oriental Institute Visiting Committee, University of Chicago.

Marjorie also recently served as the Chair of the Max M. & Marjorie S. Fisher Foundation.
