Center for Effective Phlanthropy’s (CEP) Grantee Perception Report (GPR) is a valuable tool Foundations can use to receive honest feedback about their own performance. CEP encourages all funders to share these findings back to their grantees, and there are a variety of ways funders can choose to do so. Taking this step to close the loop with grantees not only signals respect for the time they took to offer feedback, but fosters transparency that can improve communication in the funder-grantee relationship.
Kristy Luk, CEP Assessment and Advisory Services Manager interviewed Cynthia Rowell M&M Fisher’s Learning and Impact Director to discuss three principles CEP recommends to funders who are looking to close that loop, and the unique approach M&M Fisher takes to present findings of their GPR to their grant partners, enacting each of these principles.
