Trustees of the Max M. & Marjorie S. Fisher Foundation and Executive Director Doug Bitonti Stewart are proud to announce the promotion of Meredith Freeman from Senior Program Partner to Director of Alignment and Impact Investing and Cindy Rowell from Director of Programs to Director of Learning and Impact.

The two titles stem from the Foundation’s focus on the important partnership between the Foundation’s Trustees and Fisher family, Foundation staff, our professional partners in the field, and the neighbors we are proud to walk alongside in communities from Brightmoor to Israel.

With all its partners, the Foundation focuses on its core mission to strengthen and empower children and families in need.  We do this work with our partners through shared alignment, shared learning, and shared action to achieve increased engagement, impact, and joy in our collective efforts.

In Meredith’s new and expanded role she will continue to build on her expertise in impact investing to further align the Foundation’s assets, both human and financial, for impact.  In addition, she will continue to lead our arts & culture work in addition to our capacity building portfolio while assuming leadership for the human resource and communication functions of the organization.

After seven years with the Foundation as Program Director, Cindy adds to her role oversight of the evaluation function focused on learning and measuring progress alongside our partners.

“The full Board and staff team of the Foundation are proud of the work Meredith and Cindy lead every day.  They both epitomize servant leadership and we could not be more grateful they have dedicated their careers to advancing social justice with us” said Phillip Wm. Fisher, Chair of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees.
