Chelsea Landry, program partner at the Max M. & Marjorie S. Fisher Foundation, has been selected to Co-Chair a group of arts education funders, known as the Arts Education Impact Group within the Grantmakers for Education (GFE). GFE states it is “the largest forum in education philanthropy, with nearly 300 strong and diverse organizations introducing bold thinking and brave ideas to learners across America.”

In this leadership role, Chelsea will play a key part in convening national arts education funders to discuss equity in arts education and raise awareness of the topic in philanthropy broadly.

The impact group’s goals are to:

• Increase visibility and case-making for arts education within the Grantmakers for Education membership.
• Create opportunities for peer learning among impact group members.
• Weave equity and inclusion throughout [the] work.

“I am so honored to Co-Chair the Arts Education Impact Group at GFE,” said Chelsea. “This is a very influential table of funders that wholeheartedly believe in the value of arts education. Their investments change the lives of children across the country and profoundly change their trajectories.”

Chelsea will serve in a transitional role through the end of 2023, then will Co-Chair the group alongside Matt D’Arrigo (Director of Creative Youth Development for the Clare Rose Foundation and Co-Founder of the San Diego Creative Youth Development Network) and Chiho Feindler (Chief Program Officer, Save the Music Foundation) for the duration of 2024.
